Disclosure
How this site makes money, and the rules that keep that separate from what the data shows.
Current status
This site currently has no advertisers, no sponsors, and no paid referral relationships with immigration law firms or any other business. Nothing on the site is a paid placement today. If that changes, this page changes with it, and the specific relationship is named here before it appears anywhere else on the site.
If referral relationships are added
Running this site costs money, and the most natural way to cover that is a referral or sponsorship arrangement with immigration law firms, since a share of readers eventually need one. If that happens, these rules apply and are not negotiable as part of any deal:
- Any link that could earn a commission or referral fee is labelled as such at the point of the link, not only on this page.
- The filing data is never touched. No employer, role, state, or ranking is added, removed, reordered, or hidden because of a commercial relationship. Every number on this site is derived from Department of Labor files by the same process regardless of who is paying.
- Editorial content still says when you do not need a lawyer. An article that only ever concluded "hire an attorney" would be worthless, and the referral arrangement is not worth more than the site's credibility.
- Sponsors get no review of, or advance notice about, articles that mention them.
- You never pay more because you arrived through this site. Referral fees are paid by the firm out of its own fee, not added to yours.
Analytics and tracking
Page views are counted with privacy-preserving analytics that do not use cookies and do not build a profile of you. Clicks on outbound links are counted in aggregate so it is possible to tell which pages are useful. No personal information is collected, sold, or shared. The only place this site asks for anything about you is the optional email form for quarterly data updates, and that address is used for nothing else.
Not legal advice, not a law firm
This site is not a law firm and does not provide legal services or legal advice. It is not affiliated with USCIS, the Department of Labor, the Department of State, or any other government agency. A referral is not a recommendation that a particular firm is right for your case, and no attorney-client relationship is created by using this site or by following a link from it. Immigration outcomes turn on facts specific to you, so check anything consequential with a licensed US immigration attorney.
More on how this works
Where the filing data comes from, how it is processed, and what it cannot tell you is set out on the about page.
